Fotos de Nueva-York

La región fue habitada por los nativos americanos Lenape cuando fue descubierta en 1524 por Giovanni da Verrazano, un explorador florentino al servicio de la corona francesa, que la llamó 'Nouvelle Angoulême'. En 1614, los holandeses fundaron un asentamiento de comercio de pieles, más tarde llamado 'Nieuw Amsterdam', en el extremo sur de Manhattan. En 1664, los ingleses conquistaron la ciudad y la rebautizaron Nueva York.
