Photos from RomaniaRomania, in contrast to its slavic neighbours, has latin origins, and the Roman conquest of the ancient region called Dacia stands at the base of the origin of Romanians. The country greatly suffered under the authoritarian Ceaucescu whose fall in 1989 brought an end to communist rule. Visitors will enjoy the pretty towns of Brasov and Sighişoara, the Carpathian Mountains, and the rolling hills of the romanian countryside. |
