Rusia tiene mucho cultura y arquitectura : la herencia tártara de Kazán, las cúpulas doradas de las iglesias ortodoxas de Nizhni Nóvgorod, la arquitectura estalinista en Moscú y los templos budistas tibetanos en Elista. Volgogrado fue destruido esencialmente durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, y hay interesantes museos y monumentos para conmemorar la lucha heroica de las tropas soviéticas contra los nazis.
