I studied 5 years (1990-1995) in Preston (NW of England), so the photos are mainly from Lancashire, Yorkshire and the Lake District. Preston itself is not really the most photogenic place in the UK, but the surrounding countryside is quite nice, especially towards the Pennines, Bowland Forest, and the Yorkshire Dales. In 5 years, I have criss-crossed those areas by bicycle. The Lake District, just 100 miles to the north, is absolutely beautiful and perfect for hiking.
